UK spoken word artist Mina West teamed up with UK poet Mp Yamfam for their recent spoken word piece.

 

Based on the misconceptions the media portray, specifically on police brutality towards the Afro-Caribbean community here in the UK, “PHOX News” also known as Public Hearings of Xenophobia is the real-life truth known as Xenophia.

 

The definition of xenophobia is described in the dictionary as a fear or hatred of foreigners, people from different cultures or strangers. Now the UK and London especially are recognised as one of the most diverse cities in the world.

 

Race, religion, cultures have been embraced by the Western society which has seen how relationships, communities, organisations and belief systems integrate which makes our city great. Now there will always be natural disasters, attacks and political disputes that will continue to frame the way countries around the world are looked at, but we love the way these two heavyweights came together to deliver a real-life truth like no other.
