Speak The Truth… Oh Yes… Speak the Truth!

Hey everyone! How you all doing? I do trust doing great. I do wish above all things that you prosper in all things that concern you by God’s mercy and grace in Jesus name, Amen. Okay, with that said, let get to the chase.

Bible Text: No more lying, then! Each of you must tell the truth to the other believer because we are all members together in the body of Christ.” – Eph.4v25 (GNT)

According to the Cambridge dictionary (2017), defraud is defined as “to take something illegally from a person, company, etc., or to prevent someone from having something that is legally theirs by deceiving them.”

Unfortunately, there has been an escalation of cases of people being deceived and defrauding either by strangers, close relatives and of those close bonded by blood, 1 Cor. 7 v 5 (KJV) says

“Defraud ye not one the other, except it be with consent for a time.”

This has been observed at an escalating rate amongst youths in many of their relationships. This is seen as many of our young ladies have been deceived of the hope of marriage by men who are just interested in fulfilling their lustful desires. They have been kept with such deceitful lies for a long time and then surprisingly informed of their unwillingness to continue with the relationship.

This has had rendered many hearts of ladies to have an irreconcilable view of men, which affects their future relationships and marriage except for the healing hands of Christ Jesus Psa.147 v3 (GNT) says

“He heals the brokenhearted and bandages their wounds.”

In addition, they are cases where ladies due to their insecurities tend to have diverse alternatives A, B or C with regards to whom they wish to spend their life with. If and only if peradventure that either A or B shows a trait or behaviour or do not conform to her standard would show the door, thus she accepting C. This is an unhealthy way.

On the flip side, we are admonished to speak the truth to whosoever either propose or seeks for your consideration as a lady towards marriage and also as a man to be sincere enough to the lady if you feel this relationship of it not leading to marriage. Rom.9 v 1 (GNT) says

I am speaking the truth; I belong to Christ and I do not lie. My conscience, ruled by the Holy Spirit, also assures me that I am not lying.”

As Christians, especially with regards to the relationship with people on a daily basis must live a sincere, truthful and honest life. Whenever we find ourselves in the phase of finding our significant other, our heart (conscience) should not be ruled by our feelings, not by our high standards, but be ruled by the Holy Spirit, as this assures that what proceeds out of our mouth is the truth.

In conclusion, to all my ladies, if any man approaches you with the consideration of a future relationship towards marriage and you feel enlightened and prompted in your spirit that this ain’t the man, please “speak the truth”.

Likewise to all my fellas, don’t defraud nor deceit any lady with the hope of marriage when sincerely you are just seeking for any opportune lady to fill that void that Christ Jesus should FIRST occupy. Sometimes, be prepared that you might become the enemy by speaking the truth because Gal. 4 v 16 (GNT) says

“Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?”

Yours Sincerely,

Michael Ihenacho #CatchYouLater
