He Will Do It On Your Behalf

Bible Text: But Reuben heard it, and he delivered him out of their hands, and said, “Let us not kill him. Gen.37v21 (NKJV)

Hello family, how you all doing? It is my prayer that any enemy poised against the purpose of God being fulfilled in your life in 2019 will not prosper. Today, we would be looking intently in the word of the Lord as He reveals unto us that His going ahead of us is in furtherance to avert every plot and scheme of the enemy and raise forth voices on your behalf to secure your deliverance from your enemies.

That being said, let’s get to the chase, shall we – Hallelujah!

Prior our entrance into the year 2019, God has invested in and within us specific dreams and hopes that He earnestly desires to fulfil through and in our lives. Firstly to bless us and through us be a blessing unto others as drawn within our circle of influence. However, it is important to understand that our enemy, the devil is like a roaring lion seeking for unguarded lives to pounce upon to kill the dreams, visions and plans that Christ has placed in us to manifest (John 12v32).

From our Bible text, we are introduced to the person of Joseph who had a dream (Gen.37 v 5a) which was not pleasing to the ears of his brothers. Joseph was a dreamer and the favourite amongst his siblings in the eye of his father. This, as expected cause a growing sibling rivalry as no one truly understood his confidence when Joseph would share his dreams.

As earlier recorded in Gen.37 v 18, his brothers upon sighting his approaching unto them, conspired to kill him. However, we should note that is was not there wish to kill him as his dream as revealed in Gen.37 v 20c, where it says “We shall see what will become of his dreams!. For them, it was to put away what they did not know God had placed inside of him. God raised a voice, stirring the heart of Reuben who upon hearing the word of the Lord saved Joseph from death at the hands of his brothers.

Another worthy example to note would be the man, Mordecai in Esther 6 that before Haman could even conceive unto the King to have him killed was remembered by the divine mercies of the Lord through the voices of men as stirred by the Lord (Est.6v3).

These men provoked God to stir the heart of men to speak on behalf of Joseph and Mordecai and this can be seen in Gen.37v5c which says “and Joseph brought a bad report of them to his father.” And Est.6v2 which says “And it was found written that Mordecai had told of [b] Bigthana and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, the doorkeepers who had sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus”. This reveals that these men were of integrity and hated the wickedness carried out by those around them. These men are the testament of Psa.139v21 which says “Do I not hate them, O Lord, who hate You? And do I not loathe those who rise up against You”

God is still in the business of raising men to speak on behalf of the Lord. Either to bring us closer to the fulfilment of His desired purpose, which was ultimately the case of Joseph and Mordecai (Est.6vs10-11) for them to influence the kingdom of God to advance.

Reflection:  Be a man of Integrity in all of your affairs and in all that you do.

Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ #Eph.1v2
