What personal data we collect and why we collect it

2BRealMagazine collects your name, address, e-mail address, telephone number and any other personally identifiable information which you voluntarily provide as “comments” when you submit an inquiry through the “contact us” tool, or other data collection system such as but not limited to: surveys and polls etc.

All processing (i.e. use) of your personal information is justified by a “lawful basis” for processing. In the majority of cases, processing will be justified on the basis that:

  • the processing is in our legitimate interests, subject to due consideration for your interests and fundamental rights.

When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.

An anonymised string created from your email address (also called a hash) may be provided to the Gravatar service to see if you are using it. The Gravatar service privacy policy is available here: https://automattic.com/privacy/. After approval of your comment, your profile picture is visible to the public in the context of your comment.

Contact forms

2BRealMagazine retains your personal information for the period of time required for the purposes for which it was collected, any compatible purposes which we subsequently establish, or any new purposes to which you subsequently consent, or to comply with legal, regulatory and 2BRealMagazine policy requirements.

Data collected from newsletter sign-ups will be retained for as long as the newsletter is in distribution, unless a user unsubscribes, at which point their data will be deleted within 28 days of notification.By signing up to this newsletter, you consent to the fact that 2BRealMagazine may send you information related to its services, products and events that we believe are of interest to you. This information will be sent via email. If at any point you no longer prefer to receive marketing communications from 2BRealMagazine you can (i) unsubscribe from 2BRealMagazine communications sent by email using a link provided in marketing emails sent from 2BRealMagazine, or (ii) contact us to exercise your right to prevent all forms of marketing.

What we share with others

We share information with marketing, analytics, payment gateways and shipping provider third parties embeds who help us provide our orders and store services to you.


Really Simple SSL and Really Simple SSL add-ons do not process any personally identifiable information, so the GDPR does not apply to these plugins or usage of these plugins on your website. You can find their privacy policy here.


Smush sends images to the WPMU DEV servers to optimise them for web use. This includes the transfer of EXIF data. The EXIF data will either be stripped or returned as it is. It is not stored on the WPMU DEV servers.

Smush uses the Stackpath Content Delivery Network (CDN). Stackpath may store web log information of site visitors, including IPs, UA, referrer, Location and ISP info of site visitors for 7 days. Files and images served by the CDN may be stored and served from countries other than your own. Stackpath’s privacy policy can be found here.

Smush uses a third-party email service (Drip) to send informational emails to the site administrator. The administrator’s email address is sent to Drip and a cookie is set by the service. Only administrator information is collected by Drip.


The information we collect includes the commenter’s IP address, user agent, referrer, and site URL (along with other information directly provided by the commenter such as their name, username, email address, and the comment itself).
